Description

The Segur de Calafell beach coincides with the maritime strip of the tourist center with the same name. Its length exceeds one and a half kilometres , making it the longest beach of the three in Calafell. Segur is also the most populated centre out of the three that are part of the municipality; in fact, during the summer months, this is where half of the population gathers. It provides all types of services : showers, toilets, deckchairs and sunshade rental, access for the disabled, rescue posts and children´s area . During the summer season, it is one of the beaches with the highest influx of bathers in the province of Tarragona, where there are also plenty of restaurants , that are practically on the beachfront . At one end is the marina , which is accessed by a road that crosses the beach, that in this area is notably wider. As in the rest of the neighboring beaches, the sand on Segur de Calafell is very fine. Here you can play sports such as beach volleyball. Some summer evenings, it becomes a stage for musical performances and festive events . If one comes by car, one needs to find parking on the town streets and along the promenade, in the non pedestrian areas.
