This large but welcoming beach spreads its fine golden sand over about a kilometre in length and seventy meters in width. The Altafulla beach is also one of the areas that have a Blue Flag for quality in the Tarragonès region. This certifies the quality of its waters, calm and transparent, as well as their services. One can find information signs, access facilities for disabled people, lifeguard and rescue, showers, deckchair renting facilities, parking area and an extensive restaurant offer. On the other hand, the waters are much appreciated by diving enthusiasts thanks to the lack of strong currents on the seabed. The offer of accommodation near the beach is represented by two category 2 campsites, located just over 500 meters away: Santa Eulàlia y Don Quijote. They represent a combined range that stretches for over seventy square kilometres, having different service areas, cafeteria, leisure time and sports such as horse riding. On the other hand, less than two kilometres away, and within the town, it is almost compulsory to visit the area around the Altafulla castle, a XVII century fortified construction considered a Place of Cultural Interest.
