Es Figueral Beach

Description

Platja des Figueral is situated at 3,5 kilometres from Sant Carles de Peralta, located between s`Albedor and es Paller des Camp, as well as next to the village with the same name. From its coast you can see Illot de s`Hort and Esculls Negres. The name is given by the proximity of the garden where this fruit is present, although in the surroundings and on the coast some residential houses and hotels have been built. This sea inlet has a broken profile and it is very big, the beach is sandy, surrounded by rocky cliffs, and its orientation is toward northeast, open to the wind from the south and east, depending on the season. The strength of the wind explains that the sandy ground makes the water cloudy. The navigator must know that there is a flagstone, Llosa des Figueral, located at 1,6 kilometres north from Punta Valls, a stone which goes from north to south, it is about 30 metres long and 15 metres large. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at one hectometre. You can also walk to this place from the nearby Platja de Aigües Blanques on a track which is five kilometres long. These characteristics explain that the beach of Platja des Figueral is very crowded by tourists.
