Description
Cunit beach, with fine sand and calm waters, stretches along two and a half kilometres of coastline. Despite its length, seven breakwaters act as separators and form successive coves, breaking the linearity. It provides all types of services : rescue and first aid posts, children´s playground, beach volleyball courts, toilets, showers and foot washers. During the summer months, it is ususally very busy, as, with the promenade, it is the main leisure point in the town. Therefore, although there is parking near the beach, it is not always advisable to arrive in one’s own car. Besides enjoying the sea, in Cunit one can take several itineraries that cover landscapes such as that of the Puig de Tiula mountain range. It is a Mediterranean forest in an excellent state of preservation that invites pleasant walks in the countryside just a few metres from the beach.
