Neapolis

Greece, Peloponnese, Lakonia, Neapolis

Description

Neapolis is a small harbor across from Elafonisos on the Peloponnesian coast. Good shelter from northerlies.Anchor off the beach 500m west of the dock (goog holding in sand), or tie up to the dock. HOWEVER, be aware that a big ferry comes into the dock every evening and stays for the night. Also one or two tug boats may be tied up alongside. Even so, there may be room for one yacht. Contact the Neapolis Control on Ch 16 if you want to tie up. Water is available on the dock. Fuel can be brought by minitanker - the telephone numbers for three companies are on the wall at the outer end of the dock. Good shopping ashore for groceries and some hardware. Tavernas along the sea-front.
