Sivriada

Description

Sivriada, is the closest island to Istanbul and the farest one to Prince island group. Because of its geological layout, it looks like a pyramid and top of a mountain. Greek name was Oxia (Οξειά). Also in ancient Byzantium times, island used to be an exile camp island for emperors, there are some ruins in the island but there is no official record for a population right now. in 1910 all the unadopted dogs in Istanbul (apx.80.000) had beed transferred to the island and left to death. After big earthquake in Istanbul, alive dogs had been transferred back.
