Description

One Ηouse Bay: The bay lies just inside the headland at the SE tip of the island and consists of a small cove with a beach at its head and a few prominent rocks at its S end. Depths are 15-20 metres in the entrance but it is possible (assuming the anchorage is not full) to find depths of 6.0 – 7.0 metres further in, about 50 metres off the beach. Holding is good in sand and weed with a few rocks. The shelter in this position is good enough to stay overnight in the usual F3-4 NW seabreeze, although there are gusts until the winds die down in the evening. The water is crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling – especially in the late evening and early morning when there is no seabreeze. Ashore there is a small house and a tiny chapel but little else.
