Description

Located in the privileged natural environment of the Ebro Delta, the Els Eucaliptus beach is one of the best preserved enclaves of the area. It is a long strip of beach that stretches over the course of nearly six kilometres and is 200 metres wide between low dunes and flora of an extraordinary value, where rice and eucalyptus combine, which give the name to the beach. The beach, which can be easily reached on foot or by car, is formed basically by fine sand and exhibits calm waters. It offers shower facilities. The nearby camp site of the same name is considered one of the best in Europe, with an area of 37 square kilometres and a wide range of services including green areas, solarium, pool, shops and playgrounds. One of the biggest attractions of the beach of Els Eucaliptus is, without doubt, the landscape that surrounds it. It is highly recommended to carry out the different natural routes, which starting from the beach, reveal various places in the Delta: the barra del Trabucador, a long appendix that goes into the sea from the beach towards the southwest of the Sant Antoni salt mines and the Trinitat salt mines, or the natural reserve part of the tip of the Banya, located at the southernmost tip of the park of the Delta. In addition, the beach of Els Eucalyptus is a very popular destination for mountain bike lovers, hiking, or even horse riding, whose frame of reference are the lands of the Ebro delta.
