Description
Voidokilia: Voidokoilia beach in Messinia is considered the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. It is mainly famous for its perfectly round shape resembling the letter O. It is located north of Pylos, on the Ionian coast, and is tangential to the Yalova lagoon from which it is separated by a strip of dunes. The beach and the surrounding area has been designated place of outstanding natural beauty and is included in the Natura Network 2000.Sti north side of the beach are the ruins of the Mycenaean tholos tomb periodou.Stin south side of the beach are the ruins of the medieval castle built by the Franks Peloponnese in the 13th century, which is known today as the castle. The rock beneath Palaiocastro photo large cave called Cave of Nestor, which have found traces of Neolithic settlements in the 4th millennium BC .
