Description
Rocas Planas Beach: Along with the Fonda cove, Roques Planes is one of the places on the coast of Tarragona with the highest ecological value. It is a natural cove that is difficult to access. It can only be accessed through the Llarga beach and, due to its characteristics, is an Area of Natural Interest. It is a little over 200 metres long and 26 metres wide. It is sheltered by the Marquise woods and forms a strip of fine golden sand with easy to access calm waters. It does not have any services except for rescue signs. Due to its characteristics, it is a greatly appreciated destiny for nudity enthusiasts. Roques Planes is a small oasis of tranquility away from the noise of urban enclaves. It is surrounded by a lush area of excellently preserved vegetation, which includes indigenous species such as the lentiscus, the rosemary, the dwarf palm, the white asparagus or the kermes oak. The Torre de Mora camp site, apart from another of the cove´s access points, is the closest accommodation offer. Located 350 metres away, it is a category 1 camp site, with an area of 72 square kilomtres and a wide range of services. Apart from the basic services, it includes a children´s play room, a minigolf and a social room.
