Description

The beach of Cala Coticcio, on the east coast of the island of Caprera, is covered by fine white sand, bathed by a sea of a thousand turquoise hues and protected by splendid sculptures of pinkish rock, among which space is found for juniper, heather, rockrose, and lentisk. The extraordinary beauty of the beach makes it very popular for swimmers. A little out to sea, the islets of the Monaci emerge, the name of which is the alternative to the more poetic name - islets of the Sperduti of Caprera (the Lost Ones). The cove is under the strict preservation order relating to zone Á of the Park of La Maddalena: bathing is allowed, but fishing is severely forbidden.
