Description

Kemer Marina is one of the most spectacularly sited marinas along the Turkish coast, wedged between the immense limestone plateau of Tahtali Daği and the jagged peaks of the Taurus mountain range extending along the coast towards Antalya. The town is of fairly recent origins and has since the 1980s become a busy and sometimes frenetic tourist resort. The Turkiz Kemer marina here is compact (only 240 berths) but has a full range of services. It is a popular over-wintering spot but is very noisy during the season, with discos blasting from the hotels along the beach east of the town and especially the one directly opposite the marina entrance. There are some idyllic (and quiet when the gulets leave) anchorages to the south between Kemer and the headland of Tasklik Burnu, from which it is easy to visit the ancient sites of Olympos and Phaselis.
