Description
Grottammare is a town and comune on Italy`s Adriatic coast, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, Marche region. In 1994 the ruling Christian Democrats were ousted by a coalition known as Participation and Solidarity. It created a system of neighbourhood assemblies as a type of participatory democracy.
