Koroni is a coastal town in the prefecture of Messinia. It is located 52 km southwest of Kalamata. It is famous for its Venetian castle that overlooks the town. It belongs to the municipality of Pylos - Nestor, while based Kapodistrias plan was the seat of the Municipality of Koroni
