Torrox Costa

Description

Torrox is a municipality in the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia southern Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Axarquía. It is located in the Costa del Sol (specifically the Costa del Sol Oriental), on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra de Almijara. The village of Torrox has two distinct nuclei population; Torrox (Indoor), which is the oldest area, essentially from the old town and some newer construction neighborhoods like La Rabitilla, and Torrox Costa 4 km from Torrox village. On the coast highlight different sub-nuclei: Torrox Costa, Laguna Beach, Conejito (El Faro), El Peñoncillo or Torrox-Park; all tourist and residential areas that have experienced strong growth in recent years and is where most of the population. Torrox Park, a housing section in between the costa and the village, could be seen as another division.
