Description

Playa de l’Esquirol runs directly on to the beach Playa de Vilafortuny. Measuring 900 metres in length and with an average width of 50 metres, it is somewhat small. At the western end there is a windsurfing and sailing school, which also offers other water sports. Beside the beach, there is a rock breakwater. The water quality is excellent and, just like the neighbouring beach; it has been awarded with the blue flag. The water is calm and ideal for bathing. The sea bottom slopes gently, but in some areas it is uneven. The sand is clean and the beach appears to be very well-kept in general. A clear advantage of this beach is its numerous parking spaces. Just behind the esplanade, at its most western point, there is a public car park. One point of interest at the beach Playa de l’Esquirol is the telegraph tower, located on the sea front. How to get there: Playa de l’Esquirol is located alongside the coastal road, Avinguda Diputació, connecting Salou to Cambrils. A single row of buildings separates the street from the beach. You can also access the beach along the esplanade or by the bicycle lane.
