Coco Beach

Spain, Cataluña, Barcelona, Coco Beach

Description

The Coco beach is located to the left of the modern Port of Badalona. It is flanked by a pleasant promenade with palm trees that stretches to the Barca Maria beach. It has medium grain sand and the entry slope into the sea is fairly steep, with a sandy seabed. It can be accessed via an overpass. It has showers, toilets, rescue service and a beach bar. The Badalona railway station is located 750 metres to the left. It is bordered by the beautiful Patí de la Vela square and by the Pont del Petroli, whose name refers to a concrete pier that goes into the sea. Thir pier was built to unload hydrocarbons from the boats to the tanks on the coast, and has been adapted as a catwalk. The marina and fishing port was opened in 2001, and, apart from the usual nautical shops and workshops, has several bars, ice cream parlours and restaurants. There is also a sailing school in the port. After the port we find the Mora beach. It has a length of 250 m. and an average width of 80 m. It has a high rate of popularity.
