Description
Cleopatra Marina is a relatively new marina (opened 2009) situated on the Aktio peninsula opposite the town of Preveza, which lies at the entrance to the Ambrakikos Gulf in the South Ionian Sea. The marina, although small, is associated with a large boatyard capable of storing nearly 1,000 yachts on land and is therefore popular with cruisers laying up in the yard. The marina offers 100 berths for yachts up to 30.0 metres and in depths of up to 8.0 metres. The marina has a wide range of services and the yard is capable of most repairs.he marina lies immediately to starboard once through the entrance channel to Preveza. It is entered from E between a long, curved wavebreak pontoon and a shorter pontoon with the fuel station (marked with flags) at its outer end. Entry and manoeuvering is difficult at times in view of the current which can flow in either direction through the marina. Do not attempt to enter without calling the marina staff for advice/assistance.
