Description

Casamicciola is the island’s second harbour and arguably better suited to the needs of cruising yachts. In the approach from east, the shoal patch off Punta della Scrofa should be given a good clearance. From the west, the reef of Scoglio del Sanctuario is the principal danger. The reef is marked with a N cardinal marker and four yellow buoys. There can be a nasty swell at the entrance in strong N winds. Depths in the harbour entrance are 5.0 - 6.0 metres and on the quays and pontoons from 2.2 - 5.0 metres (however, there is a tricky shoal patch of only 1.6 metres towards the SE side of the harbour).
