Guadarranque is a district belonging to the Andalusian town of San Roque, in the province of Cádiz. It is located in the Bay of Algeciras, at the mouth of Guadarranque River, five miles southwest of the core of San Roque. Currently has 150 inhabitants. The archaeological site of Carteia, remains of the city of Carthaginian and Roman times, is close to this neighborhood. It has a beach, beach Guadarranque. The town is surrounded by the industrial area of San Roque, comprising refinery Gibraltar-San Roque and a combined cycle power plant, and separated from the municipality of Los Barrios by Guadarranque river. In Guadarranque is the largest solar park in the Campo de Gibraltar, owned by Endesa and opened in 2008.
