Porto is the marine village of Ota, French commune located in the department of Corse-du-Sud and the region Corse. It belongs to the micro-region of Sevi in Fora. The Gulf of Porto was classified world heritage of humanity by UNESCO. The hamlet of Porto is located at the bottom of the valley of the coastal river Porto, about a kilometer from its mouth. The latter houses the fishing port but also a flotilla of boats, some intended for seasonal trips to the Calanche de Piana and Capu Rossu south of the Gulf of Porto, and to Girolata and Scandola Nature Reserve in the north, and the other diving schools and to rent. To the east of the Genoese tower square, grew Porto Marina, a tourist complex consisting of hotels, restaurants and shops. The economy of the Porto region is based mainly on tourism. There are about forty hotel establishments. In late season many groups frequent the site.
